This is what three years in business has taught me

EPISODE 14

Notes

Three years ago, I was working as a management accountant in a big 4 bank when the roles of my whole team were offshored to Singapore. I was offered another role in the bank but my gut told me it was time for a change so I took the redundancy and Straight Up Bookkeeping was born.

Over the last few years, I’ve learned so much from this roller coaster journey. In this episode, I'm sharing 11 lessons I’ve discovered from my time running my own business. I want my experience to give you insight or motivation to branch out on your own and do something you are truly passionate about.

My advice for anyone thinking about starting a business is to get out of your head and just start. When you jump in and throw yourself into something, everything will just start moving forward.

I'll cover everything from outsourcing jobs inside your business to dealing with the temptation to compare yourself to others.  There is something inside this episode for everyone.

I would love for you to jot down these 11 lessons. You’ll find so much value in my experience and I encourage you to remember these lessons when things get tricky. Always have faith in yourself and what you will achieve.
